Comprehensive Eye Exam with Digital Retinal Imaging                                              $145

During a comprehensive eye exam, the doctor will check your visual acuity and update your eyeglass prescription to provide you with the clearest vision possible. The doctor will also evaluate the front and back of the eye for diseases such as dry eye, glaucoma and macular degeneration. Digital retinal imaging is an alternative to standard eye dilation. The days of eye drops and blurred vision for hours after your exam are behind you! This offers a new and improved way of checking the back of the eye for sight threatening eye disease. The doctor will show you the images so you can see for yourself. A comprehensive eye exam is recommended yearly, especially if you wear glasses, have any systemic conditions including, but not limited to, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, have a family history of eye disease or take any high risk medications.

Training class for new wearers                                                                                       $60

A contact lens examination goes beyond the scope of a simple eyeglass prescription. Contact lenses are medical devices that need to be fit to your eyes. During this examination, the doctor will discuss options of contact lens brands with you, check your eyes for contact lens related disease such as corneal ulcers, and provide you with an updated contact lens prescription. If you have a particular brand of contact lenses you are interested in wearing please let the doctor know this prior to starting your exam. Your fitting will also include sample contact lenses to take home and test out prior to placing an order. A contact lens exam alone cannot be done without an active eyeglass prescription on file. If you are new to wearing contact lenses the training course is mandatory.
